A flower, fruit and vegetable show is being planned at Didcot Railway Centre on June 26 and 27 to mark the bicentenaries of the Royal Horticultural Society and the first steam railway.
There will be competitions for all age groups including a children's competition, while groups of GWS members revive the old railway tradition of the best kept station competition.
GWS spokesman Jeanette Howse said: "Schools, garden centres, horticultural societies and environmental groups are being invited to take part."
