John Fulkes, believed to be in his mid-50s, was discovered at his home in Pym Walk, Thame. He was single and lived alone.
In a letter to parents, headteacher Michael Spencer wrote: "It appears that Mr Fulkes died after a short and sudden illness."
Police are investigating but there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
