Jo Corkish, the two-handicapper from Burford, retained her Oxfordshire Ladies Championship at Frilford Heath with a narrow victory over Huntercombe's Alison Kelly in the final at Frilford Heath.
In a gripping contest on Frilford's Green course, Corkish was four up after 13 holes.
But Kelly fought back, winning the 14th and then slotting a long putt for a birdie on the 15th to cut the deficit to two.
The 16th was halved, but after both missed the green at the par-three 17th, Corkish got up and down from a bunker to clinch the match 2 & 1.
This was unlucky Kelly's fourth time in the final and the fourth time she had lost. Her previous conquerors were Linda King, Nesta Woolford and Julie de Vere Hunt.
After qualifying through 36 holes of strokeplay, Corkish reached the final by beating Karen Pollard (Henley) 6 & 4, Giverney Porter (Chipping Norton) 4 & 2, and semi-final opponent Justine Luckett (Henley) 4 & 3.
Kelly beat Nesta Woolford (Frilford) 2 & 1, Lisa Mason (Burford) 3 & 2 and Nicola Sparks (Burford) 2 & 1.
Katherine O'Connor, the 14-year-old from Tadmarton Heath, became the youngest winner of the Lucy Davies Trophy for the second set of 16 qualifiers.
In the final, O'Connor beat played Sarah Arnold (Caversham Heath) 3 & 2, after knocking out fellow junior Lauren Jupp (Studley Wood) in the semi-finals.
It was a remarkable performance from O'Connor, who has been playing golf for only three years and now competes off an 11-handicap.
Viv Stevenson beat Frilford Heath clubmate Barbara Hunt 7 & 5 in the final of the Bronze Championship.
In the semi-finals, Hunt saw off Pat Williams (Oxford City) 4 & 3, while Stevenson beat Di Sutton (Frilford) 2 & 1.
