An alcoholic has been banned from an Oxford estate where he abused elderly and vulnerable residents.
Peter Lewis, 59, of Paradise Street, Oxford, has been served with an antisocial behaviour order which bans him from entering Risinghurst for five years.
The case has been welcomed by police, who have been working to stamp out antisocial behaviour on the estate.
The order was made by Oxford Magistrates' Court and is the sixth to be obtained by Oxford City Council's Crime and Nuisance Action Team (CANAcT).
If it is broken, Lewis will be called back before the court and could be sent to jail.
The court heard Lewis had often been drunk when he visited sheltered housing in Risinghurst, and caused serious disturbances.
The council did not reveal which sheltered complex Lewis had been visiting. CANAcT manager Steve Kilsby said: "This decision will make a lot of people feel safer, and CANAcT will be monitoring to ensure he keeps to the terms."
