More than 300 balloons floated up into the air above the Blake Primary School in Cogges, Witney, as staff and pupils celebrated a successful Ofsted inspection.
The Government inspectors described the school as very good with an excellent ethos. Pupils did very well and the quality of teaching as very good. The quality of leadership and management was very good and the school provided very good value for money.
The school has 328 pupils in 13 classes.
Headteacher Marilyn Trigg said: "It's a wonderful report and we want to try to celebrate it as much as possible."
The inspection report said the school's main strengths were provision for children in the early years unit and those with special educational needs. Pupils' behaviour, attitude and attendance were also very good.
The breadth of the curriculum was also highlighted, and strong links with parents, the community and with other schools were said to be very good. The leadership and management of the governing body and headteacher were also praised.
One area for improvement noted by the Ofsted team was teaching of science at Key Stage 3.
