A woman was knocked off her bike by muggers who rode up alongside her on a motorbike and snatched her bag.
The 50-year-old victim was riding along Campbell Road, east Oxford, when two youths on a motorbike struck, shortly after 11.30am on Saturday. Neither wore a helmet.
The motorbike manoeuvred alongside her and one youth snatched her bag from the basket of her bicycle. This caused the woman to fall off, but she was not badly hurt.
Det Sgt Rebecca Mears, of Oxford police's burglary team, said: "We would advise people pedalling around the city not to put their bags in baskets as they could become targets."
