A spectacular display of potting helped Thame's Lee Richardson into the final of The Oxford Times Cup with a 500-354 victory over Newtrim's Simon Aries at Cowley Conservative Club.
The audience were treated to a brilliant display by the snooker professional, who romped home with breaks of 54, 46, 44, 41, 40, 36 and 27.
Aries responded with breaks of 30, 28, 26 and 25, and was actually in front after the first hundred points at 104-74.
But Richardson surged into the lead to knock out the three-time winner of the trophy.
The other semi-final was a 'proper' billiards match.
David Baker, of Newtrim, was in top form as he eased past Terry Chambers of Ashton 500-336.
There were some scintillating pots, and Baker held the lead from the early stages.
He slammed in a superb break of 74, and also racked up a 52.
The final will be held at the same venue tomorrow night (7.15pm).
In the league, it's all set up to be an exciting finish.
With one more match to go, the Division 1 title chase is still a three-horse race.
Witney lead with 44 points, with Thame A and Oracle just behind on 42.
Witney take on Thame in the final match of the season.
Oracle could gate-crash the title party, if they beat Cowley Con B 3-0.
