Blue Flash, trained by Nick Colton, led every yard of the way to beat Gilly Hepden's blue bitch by three-quarters of a length.

And Tiddley, who has been knocking on the door in the top heat over 595m, will need to match her rival up to the bend if she is to gain revenge in the S1.

Jim Morgan's Miss Mulsanne and Gloria Stringer's Seskin Larry, who looks sure to break fast in the red jacket, can set it up for the big two.

Meanwhile, Hepden is enjoying a good spell with her litter from Larkhill Jo and Ambitious Clare.

The July 2002 whelps have all won graded events at Oxford with Avid Jo and Avid Gunner particularly impressive.

Avid Jo, a top heat winner already at Oxford, stormed to victory in another A1 on Thursday.

Owned by Mike and Bob Nixon, the hounds are trained by Angie Kibble.

It's former top bitch Judy's third litter after previously being mated with Chart King and Plasterscene Gem.

The Plasterscene Gem and Larkhill Jo litters are doing very well, providing enough runners to keep the racing manager happy from grades A9 to A1.
