Edgware Tn 6, Abingdon Tn 3: Abingdon Town ended their Ryman League Division 2 campaign with a thrashing at the White Lion Ground on Saturday.

Town, who were looking for their third successive win, got off to bad start as Edgware took the lead on five minutes.

Joey Beauchamp then got Town back in the game, running onto a through ball and taking it around the keeper.

Tom Butler then put Abingdon in front after running into the penalty area and drilling home into the far corner.

However, they suffered a blow when Edgware equalised while Chris Johnson was receiving treatment on the field.

The second half was a nightmare for Town, who brought on Graham Cole for Chris Johnson, as Edgware took command with four strikes.

In the dying seconds, Cole was brought down in the penalty area. Butler's penalty was initially saved but he followed up to tuck in the rebound.
