An Abingdon primary school played host to 24 teachers from Norway, Finland and Austria as part of an international project.
The visit to Rush Common Primary, in Hendred Way, over the Bank Holiday weekend, was the culmination of a three-year project involving children from the countries concerned.
Work included the development of playgrounds, school environments, healthy eating and activities to encourage fitness. On Friday, the school's assembly celebrated how the project had helped the schools work together to improve their environments and increase understanding of environmental issues.
There were presentations on fitness, healthy eating and how Rush Common had achieved an Eco-school award. There was also a video presentation from a school in Finland.
Each school was presented with certificates.
Throughout the day the visiting teachers dropped in on classes and in the afternoon there was a football match between Norway and England.
During their stay the visitors took time off to visit galleries and museums in Oxford.
Rush Common head- teacher John Fisher said it was probably the first time that a primary school had hosted so many international guests.
He said: "It's been a very successful project in which virtually every teacher at Rush Common has travelled to their partner countries."
