Royal family watchers were on high alert in Oxford on May 4 as Sophie and Edward Wessex prepared to visit the city.
It was to be the first time the Countess had appeared in public since her daughter was born.
The Earl and Countess of Wessex were due to visit the John Henry Newman School, in Grange Road, Littlemore, Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre and the John Radcliffe Hospital.
