Bicester's mayor pulled a pint to celebrate the relaunch of a village pub.
Lynn Pratt officially re-opened the Chequers pub, in Weston-on-the-Green, following a £300,000 refurbishment.
New managers Phil Dyson and his partner Nicki Rickard, welcomed Mrs Pratt and the chief executive of Fuller Smith and Turner brewery, Michael Turner, to pull a ceremonial pint to mark the occasion.
Mr Dyson said: "Nicki and I are really looking forward to showing it off to locals and visitors alike. We aim to make sure the Chequers is a pub that Weston-on-the-Green can be proud of."
Former landlady Sam Lloyd has taken over responsibility for the pub's food.
The pub dates back to about 1744.
