The family of two sisters who were shot dead at a barbecue have thanked neighbours for raising £20,000 for one of the victim's children.
Stuart Horgan killed his estranged wife Vicky, 27, and her 25-year-old sister, Emma Walton, at Highmoor Cross, near Henley, on June 6.
His mother-in-law, Jacqueline Walton, 55, was also wounded in the attack.
The unemployed bricklayer, 39, was due to face trial for murder and attempted murder at Oxford Crown Court, but killed himself in prison on June 20.
Residents raised the money for Mrs Horgan's daughters, Jade, seven, and Bobbie, three.
A family statement thanked locals for their generosity.
It said: "All these contributions and acts of kindness have meant a great deal to the family and have been gratefully received."
The sisters' funerals were being held at St John the Baptist Church, Kidmore End, near Reading, on August 14.
