A teenager from Banbury has been given a two-year antisocial behaviour order for his involvement in causing disorder in the town centre.
Under the court order, Andre Parker, 16, is banned from acting in a way which causes or is likely to cause alarm, harassment or distress and from assaulting, or threatening to assault, anyone.
The Asbo made at Bicester Youth Court last Wednesday was in connection with an incident of disorder in Banbury on July 10 in which Parker was involved.
Ben Naylor, 17, who was also involved in the incident, was given a six-month detention and training order by magistrates on July 21 for breaching his Asbo.
The court cases are part of a drive by Cherwell District Council and Thames Valley Police to clamp down on antisocial behaviour.
Cherwell's antisocial behaviour manager, Mike Ellis, said: "Asbos are put in place to protect the public, and to provide a framework in which the offender has the opportunity to change their behaviour.
"Parker's Asbo sends a strong message to the community that we will not tolerate antisocial behaviour, and will always seek to use all of our powers to tackle it."
