The 30th annual Abingdon Horse Show takes place at Rye Farm on August 22, and the organisers hope to raise more than £2,000 for local charities.
More than 200 entries are expected for the 36 classes with competitors from all over the county, Warwickshire, Gloucestershire, Hampshire and Wiltshire. The show starts at 9.30am.
Last year £1,900 was raised for local charities.
Show secretary Peggy Rogers said: "Providing the weather stays fine we expected to attract a record entry and raise even more money than last year for important charities. What started as a small event 30 years ago has grown in strength every year and now we attract people from near and far for an outstanding event in the equestrian calendar. We hope members of the public will come along to watch the jumping, riding and in-hand events."
Money raised from the event will be shared between the two local Riding for the Disabled Association centres at Hinksey and Abingdon, the Island Farm Donkey sanctuary at Brightwell-cum-Sotwell, the Day hospital and physiotherapy department of Abingdon Hospital and the Abingdon branches of the Samaritans and Salvation Army.
The show is expected to last seven hours. More details about the show are available from Mrs Rogers on 01235 812553.
