Samantha Round beat all the boys to win the Oxfordshire Junior League's Scratch Knock-out competition for the Gibbs Putter at Brailes.
The promising youngster from Tadmarton Heath - the only girl in the 16-strong field - beat Russell Morbey (Drayton Park) in the final.
After winning the first hole, Round then went two down, but fought back on the second nine to arrive at one-up standing on the 17th tee.
A magnificent four-iron shot set up her birdie finish to clinch the coveted trophy. She had dropped just three shots to par in the match.
To reach the final, Round had knocked out the second seed Sean Elliott (Frilford Heath) in the semi-final.
The top seed Ben Patterson (Frilford Heath) was beaten in the quarter-finals by Morbey, who finished with two birdies to win on the last hole.
Morbey went on to beat Chris Rose (Brailes) in the semi-final.
The 16 players had qualified by producing the best gross scores in the Oxfordshire League Championship at Waterstock three days earlier.
After 18 holes, Patterson and Elliott were tied on a gross 71.
The play-off was decided over three holes.
After two holes the boys were level, but Patterson's third shot to the green settled it and he was duly presented with the Champions Cup.
In third place was Patrick Knightley (Waterstock) with a gross 72.
The handicap competition was won by 22-handicapper Kevin Bowan (Waterstock), with a nett 63, while Craig Hinton (Waterstock ) won the Under 16 Cup with a gross 75.
This scratch competiton was a qualifier for the Daily Telegraph Junior Championship. Patterson and Round's names went forward as the respective boys and girls champions.
