A Minster Lovell hairdresser is aiming for a load of close shaves in aid of a cancer charity.
Robert Beckett is teaming up with other barbers to cash in on haircuts for boys before they return to school after the summer break.
All the money will be going to Cancer Research UK, a charity Mr Beckett has strong personal reasons for supporting.
"The event is my idea, and nearly everyone is nowadays touched by cancer. I lost two grandmothers with it, and my partner, father and aunt have survived various cancers."
The "Grade 2" haircuts -- close shaves -- are being held on August 31 and September 1 at Cirencester Town Football Club and feature hairdressers from Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, and Alex Raylesford, of Corn Street barbers in Witney.
"Even though the event is in Cirencester, I would hope parents and their boys from our area would like to come along and boost the fundraising," said Mr Beckett, of Upper Crescent, Minster Lovell.
