ABINGDON Town's seven-game unbeaten run came to end when they went down 2-0 at home to Desborough Town in the third round of the FA Vase.
After dominating the first half, Abingdon will be desperately disappointed not only to have succumbed to two second half goals, but also to have barely served up a single chance during the second period.
Abingdon strikers Danny Wise and Mark Baker were both denied early on, and Gareth Paxon's long-range effort brought a good save.
Wise and Rory Jenkins then missed easier chances, and Abingdon were made to pay after the break.
Matt Curtis drilled a shot past Anthony Betterton to give Desborough the lead in the 63rd minute, and eight minutes later, Grant Mawby squeezeed a shot home from close range to send Town out.
