Henley's dismal season in National Division 1 continued with a 33-13 reverse at all-professional outfit Penzance & Newlyn - their 11th defeat from 12 league outings this term.
The strength and power of the Pirates pack was the deciding factor, and when Henley did manage to create scoring opportunities, they could not finish them off.
Penzance opened the scoring with a converted try by Wes Davies, Barry Reeves making it 7-3 with a neat drop goal.
Further tries from Rhodri McAteer and the powerful Pirates No 8 Lodewyk Hattingh, both converted, made the score to 21-3 at half-time.
Penzance struck again in the second half through Kiwi flanker Iva Motusage and winger Matt Jess.
Hawks had the majority of the play for the rest of the game, scoring tries through Pete Davies and Nnamdi Obi.
Newcomer Matt Honeyben, the old Oxford Blue who came on for Reeves after 64 minutes, could not convert either try from the touchline.
