Banbury Bulls made it five wins in a row in MIdland Division 3 with a 52-27 triumph over Stockwood Park on Saturday to continue their climb up the table.

Playing with real dynamism, they scored four tries in each half to emerge comfortable winners.

The Bulls opened at a furious pace and went ahead when flanker Sean Bannister powered over for a try, converted by Tony Hurst.

Park replied with a penalty, but Banbury upped the pace to score another try, Ed Cummings completing a 60-metre move and Hurst adding the extra two points.

The visitors scored a converted try to close the gap to two points, but Banbury hit back with two of their own.

Prop Darren Southam crashed through three tackles to go over, and then David Taylor raced in at the corner. Hurst added one conversion to make it 26-10 at the break.

The first score of the second period was a cracker as Hurst's chip set up a try for wing Carl Daniels after a 50-metre run.

The Bulls then piled on the pressure, leading to further tries from Bannister, Daniels and Duncan Ferguson, with Hurst converting two of them.

Stockwood replied with two tries but never threatened to end Banbury's five-match run of success.
