Young patients at an Oxford hospital were celebrating the festive season on Sunday, thanks to the Starlight Children's Foundation.
About 40 youngsters enjoyed a party at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Headington, which was hosted by the charity in partnership with video rental firm Blockbuster Entertainment.
Children staying at the hospital, for orthopaedic treatment to their muscles and bones, were joined by patients from the past year, who were invited along to the party with the families of paediatric staff.
Play specialist Julie Gibbs said: "We had loads of fun, and the children enjoyed a pantomime put on every year by the staff - this year was Snow White and the Seven NHS Workers.
"The hospital radio, Radio Cherwell, came with a disco and a magic show, and of course, Father Christmas came along too.
"It was just about enjoying Christmas. If everyone else can do it elsewhere, then we can do it at the hospital too!"
Starlight Children's Foundation regularly entertains young patients while they undergo treatment in hospital, helping to distract them from the fear, pain and isolation caused by their illnesses. The NOC party was one of 120 the charity held at hospitals across the UK to celebrate Christmas.
