RYDER Cup hero David Howell shot a four-under-par round of 69 when he took part in the Five Star Events charity celebrity day on Frilford Heath's Red Course.
The Swindon golfer, who played off a handicap +5 to give others competitors a chance, was paired with charity draw winner, Bernie Pike of Studley Wood - and they recorded 39 stableford points for their better ball.
First prize went to Clive Alcock (Frilford Heath) and David Wilding (Studley Wood) with 42pts on countback from Clive's son, Simon, and Cec Jackson (Frilford Heath).
