OXFORD City boss Andy Sinnott has a striking crisis ahead of tomorrow's crucial Southern League Division 1 West clash at home to fellow-strugglers Bedworth United.

Already missing frontman Mark Simms and attacking midfielder Justin Lee with long-term foot injuries, winger Jack Smillie has been added to the list after he suffered concussion as he bravely headed in City's equaliser against Bracknell Town last week.

And with striking duo Colin Simpson and Chris Harper out suspended, it leaves Sinnott with problems.

However, they should welcome back Gareth McLeary from injury.

Sinnott said he was unsure when Smillie, who also had ten stitches inserted in a head wound for his troubles, would be back.

"With rugby players they leave it at least two weeks. We'll just have to wait and see. It was a hell of a brave header. He dived in at waist height and got caught with a boot," he said.

"We're going to have to go with the youngsters again. I know they've done it before, but I don't think we have ever been that short of experience up front."

Thame United will be looking to make it three successive wins when they travel to second-placed Mangotsfield.

After losing three games in a row, manager Mark West's side have won their last two, which he puts down to a morale-boosting night out.

He said: "We had a night out just before the Egham game when everyone had a good time.

"It's got us going again, because we hit a bad patch where the lads couldn't raise a gallop."

Milan Barisic has been put on standby in case regular keeper Steve Smith fails to recover from the tweaked groin.

The injured duo of defender Pete Weirich (ankle) and striker Alex Stewart (stomach) again miss out, while John Mitchell (calf) is doubtful.

Midfielder Justin Merritt has rejected another bid from league rivals Brackley Town.

Former Wycombe Wanderers striker Andy Baird is the only injury doubt for Brackley Town when they host Stourport Swifts.

Banbury United give a late fitness test to defender Jason Allen ahead of their Premier Division home game with Tiverton Town.

He is struggling with a persistent ankle injury.

Manager Kevin Brock said: "We need to get something from our next four games, because if we don't we could be near the bottom."

Last Saturday's goalless draw at Stanford ended a run of three successive defeats.

Abingdon Town will be without midfielder Neil Hanson for their trip to Wembley in Ryman League Division 2 after he suffered a thigh injury, just weeks after returning from a knee problem.

Boss Nobby Hayward, whose side who bowed out of the FA Vase last weekend against Desborough, said: "We have to put it right against Wembley."
