Householders in three Bicester roads have won a campaign to get residents' parking outside their homes.
For years, people in Priory Road and Woodfield Road have complained of office workers and rail commuters leaving their cars all day in the streets, preventing residents from parking.
In Victoria Road residents have suffered because the street is close to the town centre.
Now, thanks to efforts by town and district councillor Debbie Pickford, Cherwell District Council has agreed to introduce residents' parking in all three roads.
Miss Pickford said: "This is a pilot scheme and I am pleased Cherwell's executive has decided to bring in the restrictions.
"I have been trying to get residents' parking for at least two years."
The parking restrictions are expected to come into force in the New Year.
