GLADIATORS Social Club finally posted their first win in Men's Section 6 of the Greene KIng ODDA with a 6-3 victory over unbeaten Three Horseshoes B.
Clive Proudfoot beat John Gleed to take the opening game for Gladiators.
Horseshoes levelled when John Rimmer defeated Colin Walton, but then Gladiators stormed into an unassailable 5-1 lead with wins from Joe Ward, Martin Cook, Mick Minns and John Wyatt.
Horseshoes took the pairs 2-1, but the damage had already been done.
A 2-1 success in the pairs gave Fox Inn a 5-4 victory at home to Kennington Social Club B.
Jim Battle and Tony Cross were among Fox's singles winners, while Roy Phipps and Glyn Ellis featured in Kennington's successes.
In Section 7, Viking Sports Club ran out emphatic 7-2 winners at Red Lion, Wolvercote.
Chris Evans gave Wolvercote an early lead, but then Vikings hit back through Mark Taylor, Dave Faulkner and Neil Taylor.
Clive Pettifer reduced the deficit with a fine win, but Ian Scrafton then beat Tony Mortimer and Vikings clinched victory with a 3-0 success in the pairs.
Victoria Arms B have withdrawn from Men's Section 11, and Bullnose Morris have pulled out of Ladies' Section 8.
