County councillors have paid their respects to two former coll- eagues.
Henley North councillor Eric Cresswell, right, died last month aged 90 and Henley South member David Walden, far right, died on Friday, December 17, aged 77.
Mr Cresswell, a former senior marketing manager for pharmaceutical giant Beechams, joined the county council in 1977 and retired in 1985.
His finest hour was helping to secure a new library for the town.
Council leader Keith Mitchell said: "He was an extremely conscientious man who came to political life late, but found time and interest in politics and served on a number of comm- ittees."
Rotarian and Freemason Mr Walden served between 1977 and 1997 and was a staunch supporter of the RNLI and sea cadet movement.
Mr Mitchell said: "David was the first leader of the Conservative group that I knew when I came here.
"He had no really strong political ambition when he arrived, but he became a very good party politician."
