OXFORD Silver Machine trio Ryan Fisher, Jonas Davidsson and Rafal Dobrucki are on the move.

Promoter Nigel Wagstaff revealed they won't be featuring in Oxford's team next year.

"Ryan Fisher has been released by Coventry, but he won't be returning to Sandy Lane, neither will Jonas Davidsson or Rafal Dobrucki," he said.

However, Silver Machine's hopes of retaining Greg Hancock have received a boost.

The American ace is owned by Coventry, but he doesn't appear to be at the forefront of the Bees' planning for next year.

Wagstaff said: "We all want Greg Hancock back and as far as I know he wants to return.

"Coventry want him back, but the way Coventry work, they have gone for a whole host of new signings so far, and Greg wasn't exactly at the top of their list.

"He is back in America now, but has to take that on board as he decides which way he goes in 2005.

"I gather that Exide will still be backing him, so it's up to him."

Wagstaff intimated that he almost has a team in place if he can get the all-important new racenight confirmed as Thursday, and can secure a deal with the Greyhound Racing Association.

Former Oxford rider Luke Dryml, who has been released by Peterborough, and Billy Hamill, who Coventry have let go, could be prime targets.

"Of course I would be interested in Lukas," said Wagstaff. "He started his career here and although has suffered badly from injuries in the last two years, he is a class rider. Hamill is also available to talk to now."

The former Coventry man missed out on the British scene last year, but is keen to return to England to race.

Meanwhile, Emil Kramer will again be at Hull and Lubos Tomicek could be heading back to Newcastle.

Wagstaff is trying to fix up Jerne Kolenko with a Premier League club.

And Chris Mills, though still available for Oxford's Conference League team this year, is also hoping to join a Premier League club.

Wagstaff is trying to secure a contract for Jamie Courtney from the Isle of Wight, while James Humby will be a new face at Oxford this year and Sam Martin will be back.

But Chris Schramm's average is too high to return.

"My ultimate aim is to get these British youngsters through to the Elite League," added Wagstaff.

Meanwhile, Wagstaff is looking for a big sponsor for racing on Thurs- days.

He added: "We are taking a big step and the planning has been very positive.

"We need a sponsor. With the coverage on Sky and local television it would be an attractive package, but above all we need a competitive team.

"The GRA have done nothing wrong in wanting Friday nights (for greyhound racing). I wanted to get an agreement before Christmas to get season tickets on sale, but that was down to us at our end."
