BBC Radio Oxford is hosting an afternoon of laughs for Comic Relief.

Strictly Stand Up will take place on March 5 at Jongleurs comedy club, in Hythe Bridge Street, Oxford.

The radio station has been running a competition over the past few weeks appealing for listeners who are budding stand-up comics.

The lucky three finalists will be performing on Saturday alongside Radio Oxford presenters.

The three contestants are Rheana Underwood, 15, from Adderbury, Kate Lewin, 28, from Oxford, and 22 year-old Paul Fung, from Oxford.

The event, compered by Rick Wakeman, keyboard player of rock band Yes, starts at 3pm.

Admission is free but the radio station will be asking for donations to the Comic Relief appeal.

The show will broadcast on Radio Oxford on Red Nose Day, March 11, from 1pm to 4pm, on the Ali Booker show on BBC Oxford 95.2FM.
