Bromsgrove 0, Brackley Tn 2: Brackley produced their best performance of the season to overpower high-flying Bromsgrove in Saturday's Southern League Division 1 West encounter.
The visitors were always a yard sharper than their opponents, who are pressing for promotion.
Brackley skipper Gary Wickens and Jack Smillie caused problems with their innovative wing-play, while Simon Dunlop was at the hub of their best work.
At the back, the central defensive pairing of Andy Baird and Andy Williams comfortably dealt with any threat from the home strikers.
After a goalless first half, Brackley went ahead on 59 minutes when Mike Ford won possession in midfield, before sending Carl Wilson-Denis clear to fire home.
It got even better two minutes later when Baird rose majestically to head powerfully home from Wickens's corner.
Bromsgrove did not give up the ghost and continued to toil away manfully, enjoying their best spell during the last 20 minutes.
However, Brackley were in no mood to surrender the points and their disciplined and workmanlike performance ensured they went away with all the spoils.
Brackley: Knight, Beckett, Ford, Dunlop, Baird, Williams, Smillie, King, Dunkley, Wilson-Denis, Wickens. Subs : Crosby, O'Sullivan, Foley, King, Crosby.
