Flanker Tom Brooker secured his second hat-trick of the season as Henley Alliance cruised in to the Oxfordshire Cup final with a comfortable 55-3 victory over Grove at Cane Lane.
Without reaching their best form, the National League side's second-string side proved far too strong for their hosts from the Southern Counties North.
James Street, a flanker playing on the right wing, scored the Alliance's first try after ten minutes when he supported a break of some 60 metres by full back Dan South whose searing pace troubled Grove throughout.
This score came after Henley had been forced to defend for the opening minutes by a robust Grove pack which included the former Henley player, the giant Mike Turner.
Grove continued to pen the Alliance in their own half after this score and registered a penalty by fly-half Richard Williams.
It took the visitors another quarter of an hour to add to their tallyhen Jake Hirst went over in the corner.
Steve Drake who had converted the first try was unable to add the extra points.
But he was successful with two other kicks as Henley began to turn their superiority into points with tries by Rusty Osman and the elusive Booker to make the half-time score 26-3.
The Alliance pack created a try for skipper Ben Glossop early in the second half.
Grove then lost the services of Turner but nevertheless spent a period on the attack without cracking the visitors defence.
When passing movements broke down, the pace of the Alliance back row, which now included Street (Jon Tenconi having suffered a broken finger in the first half), led to further tries by Booker (2) and Osman.
In between, the third member of the lively Henley backrow trio, JP Filler, was quick to tap a penalty 15 metres from the Grove line, while the home team stood and watched.
Two more conversions by Jon Stebbings and Drake made the final score 55-3.
