A town poll in Bicester has given an overwhelming thumbs-down to plans for a primary care centre and loss of hospital beds.
The March 10 poll is a rebuff to the North East Oxfordshire Primary Care Trust, which wants to downgrade a 30-bed community hospital into a care centre.
A total of 1,808 people voted against the trust's proposals, while only 43 voted in favour.
