GLS Hellenic League - Kidlington 2, Shrivenham 4: Kidlington's erratic form continued as they crashed to defeat against fellow Division 1 West title-chasers Shrivenham.
In the first half, only Shrivenham capitalised on numerous chances to go 2-0 up through Steve Avenell and Alex Green.
After the break, chances again went begging before Avenell and Jon Peters put the visitors 4-0 up.
Late goals from Kidlington's Luke Holden and Tom Green added a little respectability to the scoreline.
Middle Barton 1, Hook Norton 1: Despite the return of joint manager Anton Sambrook and central defender Mark Ward from long-term injuries, Hook Norton had to settle for a draw on a bumpy pitch.
In the first half, Middle Barton's Paul Kay was lucky to escape with a yellow card after appearing to take the law into his own hands, following a challenge from James Standen.
Hook Norton took the lead with a fortunate own goal shortly after half-time.
Following pressure from Standen, Barton defender Keith Harrison attempted to pass back to his 'keeper, but succeeded only in lobbing his colleague, with the ball rolling into the net.
Barton replied within three minutes after Hooky's Garnet Thomas gave away a free kick about 30 yards out from goal.
Danny Phillips's measured kick was glanced down by the head of Ollie Murrey past unsighted keeper Scott Matthews.
Purton 2, Headington Ams 0: Despite dominating much of the match, Headington slumped to their second defeat in three games.
After exerting intense pressure, the home side scored a breakaway goal through Keech from their first real attack.
Headington's Luke Brandon had a 'goal' disallowed for dangerous play when he challenged the 'keeper.
Within two minutes of the restart after half-time, Purton doubled their lead when Bryant dribbled through the defence for an excellent individual goal.
Trowbridge Tn 2, Clanfield 0: An evenly-contested game turned on a controversial penalty award to Trowbridge after a fierce shot hit Danny Dickson on the arm from just two yards.
In the aftermath, Clanfield manager Peter Osborne was sent from the dug-out, while Dave Percival scored from the penalty.
Danny Lardner doubled the score ten minutes later to give the leaders three points which they hardly deserved.
