Godfrey and Sissel Fowler have fought a hard battle with the authorities to find out the answers to a simple question.
How did their son die?
Yet, 10 years on, they are no closer to the truth than the day Adrian Fowler died in an accident at Oxford railway station.
In December, we reported that the new Freedom Of Information Act had given the couple hope that they would at last know the facts and have access to witness statements.
But their hopes were dashed when they were given a CENSORED report, by the Health and Safety Executive with the witness statements edited out because certain organisations aren't educated about Freedom Of Information, and instead, hide behind the Data Protection Act.
What right has anybody got, over the right of parents wanting to know the truth surrounding their son's death?
This new Act has been put in place so there is no hiding place where the facts are concerned, and measures should be put in place in every organisation for this to work.
People like the Fowlers deserve to know the truth and be given ALL the answers.
