Craig Davies is set to miss Oxford United's two Easter games after being called up again for Wales Under 21s.

The 19-year-old striker, who has ironically lost his place in United's starting line-up, has been called into the Under 21 squad to play Austria home and away.

The games take place at Merthyr Tydfil on Good Friday, March 25 (kick-off 5pm), when United are at Scunthorpe before the return at Neusiedel Am See on Tuesday March 29 (kick-off 6pm), the day after the U's take on Leyton Orient at the Kassam Stadium.

It is the second time Wales Under 21 manager Brian Flynn has selected Davies for his squad. The player represented his country several times at youth level.

The former Manchester City trainee was not used in the last game against Germany in Wrexham, which Germany won 4-0 to go ahead of England at the top of the group.

Despite that defeat, Wales boss John Toshack gave the youngsters some words of encouragement after the match, saying he saw them as the country's future.
