Didcot Town's Loop Meadow Stadium is expected to be full to bursting for Saturday's big match against Jarrow Roofing.

Didcot, who are just two games away from the final at White Hart Lane, smashed their ground record in the quarter-final against Bury Town, when 1,220 came through the turnstiles.

But secretary Simon Kelly believes that figure will be bettered.

He said: "I am pretty certain we will break the ground record again - and I think 1,500-plus is a very real possibility."

The Railwaymen have made a slight increase to admission prices for the semi-final, with adult tickets costing £6, senior citizens £3 and children £2.

But Kelly stressed it was not a decision taken lightly, and was made to cover costs incurred for the tie.

He said: "There are massive expenses involved in a tie like this, not least that we have to pay the travelling expenses and accommodation for the visiting team.

"I am sure nobody will quibble about the price, because £6 for a game like this is still very good value and I'm sure supporters will have a great day."

Kelly has called on supporters to arrive early again.

"The stand has very limited seating, and the car park will fill up very quickly, so it would ease congestion if people could arrive early," he said.

"There will be extra stewarding on the day, and the bar will be open by 1pm have had countless messages of support, which has been a real boost.

"Hopefully, our home crowd can do the job again, as they did in the last round. They really did give the lads a tremendous boost."
