Media students at Abingdon and Witney College will turn the spotlight on Oxford West and Abingdon MP Dr Evan Harris as the country prepares itself for a likely General Election in May.
A group of students have already visited the House of Commons and interviewed the MP for West Oxfordshire, David Cameron, and on Monday (March 21) it will be the turn of Dr Harris to face the cameras at the Wootton Road campus in Abingdon.
He will be interviewed in the college's new performance theatre, rigged up as a live TV studio for the day, in front of an audience made up of students.
Lecturer John Davis said he had been delighted with the response from the MPs and the enthusiasm of the students towards the project.
He said: "General Elections don't often coincide with end of year project timetables.
"For this year's students it is a rewarding experience."
High on the students' political agenda are issues like youth culture, environmental protection, crime and the war in Iraq.
