South League: Rover Oxford continued their excellent end-of-season form in the Regional division with an emphatic 6-1 victory at already-relegated Wokingham.
In truth, it was not one of Rover's better performances, but it was all that was needed against a poor side who had little to play for.
Rover opened the scoring through Greg Horne, and moved further ahead with goals from top-scorer Daniel Smyth and Ed Miles, who ran through the opponents' defence to slide the ball into the bottom corner.
Wokingham scored their consolation with ten minutes left.
Greg Horne added two further goals to complete his hat-trick.
There was still time for him to fail to convert a chance presented to him in bizarre circumstances when the umpire collided with the Wokingham goalkeeper.
Rather than shooting directly at the pair on the floor Horne opted to raise the ball over the prostrate umpire, but in doing so the goalkeeper was able to raise a glove to tip the ball over the bar.
If Rover win their final game next week they will avoid relegation.
City of Oxford also need a top-eight place to stay up, and they dropped to seventh by going down to a 4-2 home defeat against leaders West Hampstead.
City were three down at half-time and early in the second half, had two players yellow-carded. In that period they conceded a fourth goal.
When they were back to full-strength, City staged a comeback, and James Ashbridge scored from open play, before Andy Small netted a second from a goalmouth scramble.
The Division 1 points were shared when eighth-placed Abingdon met tenth-placed Aylesbury at RAF Halton.
The 1-1 draw should ensure that Abingdon finish out of the bottom four and clear of any threat of relegation.
After a goalless first half, Matt Kiely gave Aylesbury the lead with a shot from the edge of the circle from a hotly-debated penalty corner.
Abingdon equalised five minutes later, also from a penalty corner.
Will Trigg's flick proved too powerful, the Aylesbury goalkeeper deflecting the ball into the roof of the net.
Witney rounded off their Division 2 season with a 3-2 win over Windsor to claim fourth in the table.
They started sluggishly and within 15 minutes were 2-0 down against a very direct Windsor side.
Steve Bates reduced the deficit with a short-corner strike, but missed the chance to equalise when he sent a penalty flick high and wide.
Within five minutes of the restart, Richard Demczek provided the finishing touch to a well-worked short corner to equalise.
Minutes later, Tim Hardy rounded two defenders before scoring from a tight angle.
