A new website is being launched by Thames Valley Police aimed at providing essential advice and information to teenagers.

Called Underzone, it offers tips to under 18s on how to stay safe, get help when needed and keep themselves out of trouble.

The new website was launched throughout the force area today (Mar21), with an event at Gosford Hill School, in Kidlington.

Pupils will have the chance to enter a competition to win an iPOD mini mini music players by completing a quiz on the site.

Project co-ordinator Pc Graham Waddington said: "This website has been written to give young people the hard facts about things I know they worry about or wonder at.

"Under 18s also have a lot of questions about law and crime.

"This website means they can find answers and get advice immediately and anonymously."

Two iPODs are up for grabs, along with a £50 gift voucher.

The competition, sponsored by the Reading crime prevention panel, the John Lewis Partnership and the Dixons Group, will run for three months.
