If the Argentine management are to remain at Oxford United next season, it will be as a complete group.
Manager Ramon Diaz's assistant, Jean Marc Goiran, said they would not entertain the idea of reducing numbers to cut costs because, if they are to stay, they want to do it properly.
Firoz Kassam told the club's shareholders at last Friday's annual meeting that he was staying on as chairman, and the club was not for sale.
But negotiations have been continuing between Kassam and Diaz and Goiran about the management team continuing beyond the end of this season, with a meeting taking place in London over the weekend.
"We would like to stay," said Goiran.
"We have a good manager and good coach here and we have been getting good results.
"We like Oxford, and the team, we now know the players and we have a lot of ideas about next season's team, but we have to decide.
"There are a lot of things we are talking about, but they are simple things, we don't want to buy the club."
He was speaking after United had beaten Boston 2-0 at the Kassam Stadium on Saturday thanks to a goal in each half from Steve Basham. It was the team's second successive victory.
Goiran added: "I think we have shown that everyone who has come in is important.
"The doctor is important, the fitness coach is important, maybe Giuilliano (Iacoppi) might not be needed so much if everyone's English becomes good, but we are a team and we come as a team.
"The chairman wants the interests of the club, we want the interests of the club so we are just talking about the future.
"The important thing is to play the kind of game like today and to show the supporters of Oxford the work we are doing.
"If we have to leave we want to leave a legacy, and have done things properly and shown how to do things, so that the club is going the right way."
Kassam told shareholders that it was maybe wishful thinking from the media or OxVox that he might be stepping down as the club's owner, although the media have never stated that.
However, there has clearly been a bigger picture than Diaz's team simply taking over from Graham Rix, and they have wanted a greater say in running the football club to make it more professional.
Goiran speculated: "Maybe this has been because we have discussed trying to get more children into the stadium, and people have talked, and rumours have spread.
"We have certain ideas and we are talking about this with the chairman. But the relationship between the chairman and the management is fantastic
"I think the chairman wants to keep us.
"It's great to have a chairman like this who is financially strong for the club, and who really cares about the football.
"I can tell when looking at him during the game, that he really cares.
"I've said to him 'you just want to come to the games and enjoy them'."
However, Kassam has talked in the past about sharing the financial burden of running the football club and this may be forming part of the discussions.
Goiran admitted: "We have sponsors and partners we can bring in."
And Diaz himself hopes to become more involved on the playing side.
"Ramon would next season like to maybe sometimes be down there on the bench," Goiran said. "We want to do lots of things but we have to see."
