Another headteacher in Abingdon is leaving - the third in six months.
Jeremy Cunningham, head of the John Mason School, is finishing at the end of the summer term after 11 years.
Also leaving at the same time is the head of Larkmead, Richard Bysouth. At the end of last year the head of Fitzharrys, John Bloomfield, retired.
The departure of Mr Cunningham and Mr Bysouth on the heels of Dr Bloomfield will bring to an end a successful partnership of the three secondary schools and Abingdon and Witney College. Last year the schools achieved specialist status.
The new head of John Mason in September will be the school's deputy head, Paul Corrie.
He said: "As deputy head I have been able to forge close links and I am thrilled at the opportunity of being able to build on those links as headteacher.
"The recent award of specialist college status in the visual arts is already having a major impact across the school through the significant development of IT resources.
"I am keen to use the opportunities that this will provide to raise still further the excellent examination results both at the John Mason and within the Abingdon 16-19 Partnership."
