Can I wish all the staff of Allders' store in Oxford good luck for the future, especially my daughter Clare, the redundant basement manager?
After giving nine years' service to Allders, she was made redundant five weeks ago by phone at 5.10pm on her weekend off, and told not to come back as she had no job.
There was no notice period for her, not even a face-to-face - and all this after weeks of abuse from some unhappy customers.
I hope one customer who told my daughter: "I hope you lose your job", because she could not give her a refund, is now happy.
I hope the staff had a good time at the end-of-an-era party on Saturday night, although it would have been better if they were all still employed.
Good luck to you all - from Clare's mum. SUE RIGG, Goslyn Close, Headington, Oxford
