Oxford's Katherine Hawes powered to her third successive win to spur England to the Women's British Isles International title in Prestwick, Ayrshire.
Playing No 2 to Kent's Linda Ryan, Hawes, from the Oxford and District club, battled back from 9-4 down at halfway to see off Lynn Stein 17-15 in the title showdown with Scotland.
England stormed home 121-96 across the green to capture the crown for the first time since 2001, breaking the Scots' three-year grip on the Johns Trophy.
Hawes had opened her campaign in flamboyant style, advancing from 10-6 ahead to sink prolific champion Stella Oliver 26-10 in England's 136-91 demolition of Wales.
Hawes stayed in her deadly groove in the penultimate session, rampaging 19-2 clear against Jenny Dowds after just eight ends and going on to romp home 32-13 as England buried Ireland 171-68.
