House prices in Oxfordshire are set to rise again.
New figures produced by a property website for the city and county show prices were the same as for the previous month.
But in February they fell, and the overall trend is now rising. The average price of a house in Oxford is now £215,900. In the county it is £218,600.
Judith Durham, residential sales manager for Oxford estate agent Cluttons, said: "The activity level in the market has increased in the last month -- a lot more people are out viewing and those in rented accommodation are looking to buy.
"Things are looking a lot more positive for the rest of the year."
John Wriglesworth, of Hometrack - which produced the figures - said: "House price deflation over the past nine months looks set to end, with house prices remaining broadly flat this month. "An increase in the number of buyers, helping boost the number of sales agreed, points to a much stronger market in the coming months.
"Buyers are no longer getting the discounts off the asking prices they were earlier in the year, again suggesting the market is improving.
"Interest rates look set to remain stable over the months leading up to the (expected) May election, and the Chancellor's raising of the stamp duty threshold is likely to have helped restore further buyer confidence."
According to Hometrack, the average price of a terraced house in the county is now £168,000, a semi-detached house costs an average of £199,500 while a detached property is an average of £299,000. Flats and maisonettes are now selling for an average of £127,800. Average prices in Oxford are higher.
