A man needed hospital treatment after he was assaulted by a gang as he walked home from a night out in Cowley Road, Oxford.
The victim, thought to be in his 30s, went for a drink in the Bullingdon Arms on March 11, before picking up fish and chips on his way home. Police have only just issued the appeal for witnesses.
He was attacked in the early hours of Saturday by a gang who confronted him in Southfield Road.
The victim was kicked to the ground and needed 14 stitches to his cheek, right temple and the inside of his mouth.
The man was unable to provide descriptions of his attackers but anyone with information should call police on 08458 505505.
