A boy has appeared in court in connection with a series of sex attacks on women in their homes in Oxford.
The 16-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared before Oxford magistrates on Bank Holiday Monday.
He is charged with committing four serious sexual offences against middle-aged and elderly women between last October and March this year.
The charges relate to incidents in the Florence Park area of Cowley.
The teenager, who is still at school, showed no emotion as magistrates refused to grant an application for bail.
His parents were in court and agreed to provide a surety of £3,000 each as part of the bail application.
The boy was remanded in custody until March 30 when he will attend a youth court hearing.
Magistrates passed an order under section 39 of the Children and Young Persons Act preventing any information from being published that would identify him.
