We read that Cherwell is among the top 10 local authorities for recycling waste (Oxford Mail, March 23).
I fill my blue bin every second week but because of the nasty "excess waste" labels and other draconian threats received, if there's as much as a pig's ear poking out of any bin, I just have to put an equal amount of recyclable waste into my green bin every other week.
If blue bins were emptied every week, I would be able to fill them and our district council would attain a figure of around 80 per cent for recycling, a far cry from the current hailed success rate of 42 per cent, and, potentially, the world leader in recycling.
Give us more collections and take away more waste.
