Relegated Milton finished their season on a high as they edged out basement boys North Leigh A 5-4 in a thrilling clash in the Premier Division on Saturday.

The result makes it almost certain that North Leigh will also drop out of the top flight, although two victories in their remaining games would save them from relegation.

But they have a tough task as they face high-fliers Hailey tonight and then West Witney on Saturday.

In Saturday's game, Milton had five different names on the scoresheet, with David Jeynes, Dan Keely, Arrun Baker, Michael Metcalf and Phil Benfield on target.

North Leigh's replies came from a Mark Wright hat-trick, and a strike from Andy Bridgeman.

Hailey slipped to a 2-1 home defeat against Brize Norton.

Joel King fired Hailey in front, but Leo Haines equalised, only for substitute Richard Taylor to net the winner.

Napier Rovers lost 3-2 against Charlbury Town.

Jason King and Jon Room netted for Napier, with Andy Woodley, Mark Fitzgerald and Steve Fitzgerald on target for Charlbury.

FC Nomads clinched the Division 1 title as they beat rivals North Leigh B 3-2.

Wayne Morse and Matt Gorman had seemingly put North Leigh in charge.

But a brace from Andy Fielder and a strike from Mark Thomas secured Nomads' first piece of silverware.

Aston kept up their outside hopes of promotion beating AC Finstock 2-0, with goals from Matt Smith and Ross Fleming.

Meanwhile, Brize Norton reached the Senior Cup final as they edged out Hanborough 1-0 in their semi-final clash.

Mike Haines scored the only goal as Brize set up a match against West Witney, at Witney United tomorrow (7.45pm).

Matt Gorman hit a treble as North Leigh B won the Jack Busby Cup with a 3-0 victory over Carterton Res.

Wayne Morse got their other goal.
