Oxford Utd Res 1, Millwall Res 1: Craig Davies was on target again as Oxford United Reserves ended their Pontin's Holidays Combinations season with a draw against Millwall at Court Place Farm last night.
United took the chance to look at no less than five trialists in the Central & East Division encounter, with Luton trio Lee Mansell, Ian Hillier and David Bayliss joined by West Ham left back Danny Bunce and Oxford City striker Garath McLeary.
Hillier and Bayliss, playing as a centre back pairing, impressed - and they both nearly scored with Bayliss crashing a header against a post, before Hillier had a shot tipped over.
Davies also hit the woodwork in the first half, curling a free-kick against the bar.
But the Welsh youngster broke the deadlock on the hour from the penalty spot with his 25th goal of the season after he was tripped by Millwall keeper Terry Mast- erson.
However, the Lions grabbed an equaliser when Tony Craig thumped a header past Bradie Clarke.
Oxford Utd Res: Clarke, Mansell, Bunce, Burton, Hillier, Bayliss, McLeary (McCoy 74), Brown, Davies, Beechers, Winters. Subs not used: Gunn, Harris, Roberts, B Weedon.
