Superb bowling by young seamers Sam Lachlan and Luke Merry set up Thame's eight-wicket victory over Beaconsfield in their opening Division 2 West game at Church Meadow.
The youngsters bowled unchanged in the pre-lunch session and kept such a stranglehold on the batsmen that Beaconsfield stuggled to 69-5 off 30 overs before the interval.
Afterwards, the spin attack of new signing Patrik Mehta and Steve Merry kept the pressure on the visitors, who eventually struggled to 150-9 from their 60 overs.
Opener Manoj Parmar, dropped early on, laid the platform for Thame's reply with a stylish unbeaten 78.
They got home with more than ten overs to spare against their opponents' ineffective attack.
