I drove through Kirtlington for the first time for a while, and saw that the plethora of not-long-installed, malignant 'traffic-calming' humps has now been removed -- all bar the one that was probably the least malignant.
This observation prompts six questions: Who authorised the installation? Who authorised the removal? How much did the combined operation cost?
Who paid for it? Are the people responsible for the fiasco still in post? Or is it by chance the Phantom of the Cornmarket striking again?
